Halloween

Anne and I both decided that Halloween is not the best of holidays.  For starters I ate approximately 546 pieces of candy and we have 4-5 pieces left and tomorrow is Halloween.  Carving pumpkins does make it better.  Why I enjoy it hours of hard labor scraping out recalitrant fine pumpkin hair and then slowely, meticulously designing and cutting a pumpkin is still a mystery.  It must be the company with which I do it.  Anne made the monster head whereas I made the pirate face.  It is an original design.

I  could not resist putting a fews cute pics of my kids I took at Stake Conference last week.

Pumpkins

Can you believe that it has been eight long months since I, Captain Blackbart published anything on my debacle of a Blog?  I find comfort in that fact that no one reads it except maybe Anne only when she absolutely has nothing else to do. Despite my lack of Blog posts, I'm still sleeping quite peacefully.  I thought I would post a few pics of our kids because they are much cuter than me.

We went to a pumpkin farm, Briley's, for the second straight year scouting for the perfect pumpkin for carving purposes.  Jane and Charlie each found one with which they were quite attached.  Jane also found time to smell the mums eat some old, dry corn.
